The United States Civil War

The civil war started when the south did not agree with the government of the north. the south tried to change the government but failed. The north and the south were different countries. For example the south wanted slavery and the north was against slavery. Eventually they could not take it any more. They got nowhere tyring to work it out with words,so war broke out. Licoln was furious with south. Licoln was not for war but he agreed that something had to be done. Licoln felt that slavery was wrong. he could not bare that part of his own country had slavery in it. when he saw that the north was winning he was very pleased.
the north had many good army generals, leaders, and captions that were selected by Licoln.
General Lee singed to a surrender. Wen the war ended was a lot of damage in the north and the south. It took a long time for our country to become peacefull, clean, and a happy place to live.
After the war many people were angry and depressed because there land was destroyed.
after a while the country slowly started looking more civilized.

The Colonial Times was a rough time to live. people gad to work long hard hours for little. some kids could not eveavn afford to go to school. In fact most girls did not go to school they stayed home and were taught how to do hosework. The boys back at shool were not having a great time eatheir. The shool work very hard. The uneshments were brootle. If you missbheaved a little bit you were humileated whiped, poked. Bakc at the house the girls were stugeing to keep up with there mothers with house work.
